Executive Team

The executive committee is made up of two co-presidents and four vice-presidents who, with their teams of volunteers, manage and organize all JCC activities and initiatives.

Ian Weinstein, Co-President
Vice President, Valuation, Litigation and Transaction Advisory at Richter

Bio

Ian Weinstein is an easy-going, team player that brings a creative and practical approach to his clients' needs. Whether it's a transaction advisory or valuation mandate, Ian's vast skill set offers a well-rounded perspective.

Ian is a highly trusted Advisor in the field of mergers and acquisitions and leads mandates ranging from assessing quality of earnings and working capital to advising his clients on a divestiture and recapitalization transaction.

Ian also has significant experience in valuation mandates, including privately and publicly held companies, financial reporting (valuation of intangible assets, purchase price allocations and impairment testing), formal valuations, as well as fairness opinions.

Zachary Frenkiel, Co-President
Lawyer at Blue HF

Bio

Zach began his career working at large international firm Norton Rose Fulbright for 5 years before venturing to blue HF. This transition was motivated by his desire to work more closely with entrepreneurs in order to help them grow their businesses and achieve their objectives.

At blue HF, Zach collaborates with a reputable and practical legal team with a common goal - to provide quality legal services at an affordable rate. His practice touches on all areas of corporate law, including equity financing, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and general corporate and commercial matters.

In his spare time, Zach enjoys playing sports with friends, listening to music and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Gabriel Benhamron, Vice President
Vice President, Portfolio Manager at Echelon Wealth Partners

Bio

Gabriel has been working in Wealth Management since 2006 and is currently a Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Echelon Partners.

He holds the designation of Chartered Investment Manager and completed his Series 65 US-RIA registration to service U.S. resident clients.

Gabriel and his wife Lindsay are the proud parents of twins, Emma & Jordy!

Jessica DiCesare, Vice President
Senior Manager, Transaction Advisory Services at Ernst &Young

Bio

Jessica is a Senior Manager in EY's Transaction Advisory Services group, specializing in buy-side and sell-side due diligence engagements.

In her 12 years at EY, including the last seven in Transaction Advisory Services, Jessica has advised on over 60 M&A transactions across a variety of industries, both domestically and internationally. Jessica's client base includes private and public companies, as well as private equity firms.

Jessica is a CPA, CA and earned her Bachelor of Commerce as well as a Graduate Diploma in Public Accounting from McGill University.

After chairing JCC events such as an Interchamber Cocktail and the 2017 Promies, Jessica became involved as a Vice President of the JCC in 2017 and will continue as part of the JCC Executive Team for another term.

David Krief, Vice President
Senior Manager, Management Consulting at KPMG

Bio

David, a leader in KPMG's Management Consulting Montreal office, spends his days helping organizations overcome a wide variety of strategic and operational challenges such as sustaining growth, optimizing costs or enhancing customer experience. Prior to consulting, David completed his MBA at HEC Montreal, worked 5 years in real estate development and earned a Bachelor of Engineering from McGill University. 

Lauren Teblum, Vice President
Former Chief Revenue Officer at Thinking Capital

Bio

Lauren Teblum, former Chief Revenue Officer of Thinking Capital, started with the company in 2006 as the first employee of the then Fintech start up. Thinking Capital was the first and now the largest alternative SMB bank lender in Canada. Over her 13-year tenure she created, built, managed and led all sales, service, partner and revenue driving channels that brought the company to $1B in sales under her leadership. Lauren is currently enjoying a brief "retirement" while looking for her next business to build and grow.

Evan Paperman, Vice President
Real Estate Developer at GEM Canada

Bio

Evan is the co-founder of a real estate company specializing in the acquisition and redevelopment of multi-family residential and commercial properties in Montreal. They focus on mismanaged and undervalued assets in growing areas of Montreal and develop them to help reach their full potential and accommodate Montreal's vibrant housing market.

A lawyer by training, Evan spent the first several years of his career practicing corporate law at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg before transitioning into real estate. Evan has been involved with Federation CJA since his university days and currently sits on the Budget and Finance Committee as well as the Ethics and Governance Committee of the Board.

Eric Greenberg, Director of the Jewish Chamber of Commerce

Bio

Before working at Federation CJA, Eric lived in Ottawa for four years where he earned his master's degree in Public Administration, later working various positions in government. During Eric's time in Ottawa, it became abundantly clear to him that strong Jewish institutions, and forming ties within them, are paramount to sustaining Jewish life .

As the Manager of GenMTL's Richter Jewish Chamber of Commerce (JCC), Eric has the privilege of seeing how young professionals contribute to the fabric of Montreal Jewish life. He believes that by creating opportunities for engagement and networking, we can encourage the development of our future community leaders.
